Rinaldi Vineyard is one of the Sierra Foothills' most significant ancient vineyards. Originally known as the Eschen vineyard, it still produces fruit from vines planted in the 1860s, with the majority of the block dating to replants 1910. Situated at 2,000 feet elevation in the Fiddletown AVA, Zinfandels from this site display the blue-fruited character the Rinaldi is known for—distinctly different from nearby Shenandoah Valley expressions.
