2024 Old Vines
Zinfandel

Old Vines is composed of a variety of old sites from California that are either too small to be made into a vineyard designate wine or are “new” to the Turley family. Vines are anywhere from 50 to 140 years old, and a true representation of California old vine Zinfandel, hailing from vineyards in Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Lodi, Contra Costa, Amador and Paso Robles. The sage, autumnal older sister to the spring verve of the Juvenile, the 2024 Old Vines is supple and immediately approachable. Calm and medium-toned before broadening out across the palate. Raspberry, bright cherry, and dark red stone fruit emerge alongside damp loam, black tea, and lingering black walnut. Soft acidity and smooth tannins give it an easy rhythm, while its earthy Lodi influence adds depth beneath the fruit. Warm, familiar, and quietly complex; it invites another glass without demanding one.
