About the event
A collaborative event with the Amador Vintners Association, Behind the Cellar Door is a weekend filled with delectable food pairings, glimpses behind the scenes of winemaking and grape-growing, and hard-to-find wines all in an intimate Amador Wine Country setting!
Guests receive a commemorative wine glass for your weekend tastings, as well as thoughtful food pairings, educational content and demonstrations guaranteed to enhance your knowledge and appreciation of Amador wines. When purchasing your ticket, choose your starting winery where, on event day, you will pick up your wristband, event program and wine glass. We recommend you book your tasting at Turley at 11am or 1pm to fully maximize your experience with a vineyard tour. If you prefer a quieter tasting experience, join us first thing doors open at 10:30am.
WHat we’re doing
Did you know that Turley Wine Cellars works with more old vine vineyards than any other winery in the world? None of this would be possible without the “Old Vines” wine, home to fruit sourced from these many salvaged old-vine sites across California. If it weren’t for this cuvée, many of these vineyards would have been lost, along with over a century of our cultural heritage. Join us for a curated retrospective tasting of our beloved “Old Vines” Zinfandel, along with three distinctly unique single vineyard bottlings sourced from centenarian vineyards. Each wine has been paired with a small bite for your sensory delight.
Make your reservation for 11am or 1pm and join our Amador Winemaker, Nick Finarelli in our estate-owned Norton Vineyard, as he shares our vineyard cultivation practices along with a couple of rare bonus pours. Reservations required.
