AMADOR VINTNERS ASSOCIATION’S ‘BEHIND THE CELLAR DOOR’ IS AN ANNUAL SPRING EDUCATIONAL WINE WEEKEND. WE WELCOME YOU TO VISIT OUR AMADOR WINERY AND DELVE INTO THE BEHIND-THE-SCENES ASPECTS OF OUR CRAFT!

March 3rd, Friday

6:00 PM: Join us (and over 46 of our neighbors) at the Amador Vintners’ third annual Winemaker Reception hosted by our neighboring winery Terra d’Oro.  Rare wines, live music, silent auctions, and food pairings will begin at 6:00pm in the barrel room.  Tickets: $125 per person (includes weekend pass). March 5th, Saturday

11:00 AM-4:00 PM: Explore our Amador winery (please see the address and map link above) as we open it to the public for this one weekend each year! Taste through our Amador single vineyard Zinfandels in our barrel room and enjoy a seated five-vintage vertical tasting of our “Buck” Cobb Zinfandel. We will be discussing the soil diversity of the Cobb vineyard and the subsequent effect it has on our beloved wine.

 

Our seated tasting begins at 1:00 PM. Advanced reservations recommended, please email [email protected].

Wood fired pizzas served by the slice.  Cost included in weekend ticket price.

 

March 6th, Sunday

11:00AM-4:00 PM:  Amador’s oldest vineyards pre-date the Civil War and the Rinaldi Vineyard is arguably the oldest - dating back to the mid 1860’s. Join us at the Amador winery (please see the address and map link above) for the release of our newest vintage of the Rinaldi Vineyard Zinfandel and a pruning demonstration and tour in our “Buck” Cobb vineyard.

 

Vineyard tour begins at 1:00 PM and will involve walking on uneven terrain, please dress accordingly.  Advanced reservations recommended, please email [email protected].
